MUDs and Alanthia
     What MUD stands for is a matter of some discrepency,
    but it is most commonly thought an acronym for Multi-
    User Dungeons. A MUD is a text-based game played over
    the internet, usually via a telnet connection. Once
    connected the player creates a character and then "becomes"
    that character. The mud world is experienced and played
    by typing commands and reading texts. Alanthia is a heavily
    modified MUD based on ROM 2.4.
