After you have supplied a new name and password you will
begin to create your character. You will first be asked to
choose a race. When selecting a race, keep in mind the
class you will play and how you plan to rp. For example,
don't select a Demon if you intend to play a good aligned
paladin. Gargoyles tend to be the easiest race for beginners.
After selecting a race you will be prompted to supply a class.
The main page has a variety of links with descriptions
of the available classes. Again keep in mind the type
of character you wish to RP. Warriors are the easiest
to start with.
The next step is to choose your gender. F(emale) or
M(ale).
Next you will begin to roll stats. The higher the stats,
the better. Wisdom and Constitution are the most
important for a new character. (Higher wisdom gains more
practices per level and higher constitution gains more
health per level).
You will then be asked to choose an alignment. G(ood),
N(eutral) or E(vil). Of course, pick an alignment you will
stick with. Changing your alignment after creating isn't
normally allowed.
The next question is whether or not you want to customize.
Customizng is recommended, as it allows you to create a
character with a wider range of skills and spells. When
customizing try and keep your experience per level below
1500. 1000 is ideal. Following is a list of commands available
in customization.
add <skill> : adds a skill
list : displays all available skills
learned : displays all learned skills
premise : provides a brief explanation of skills and creation
points
drop <skill> : removes a skill
info <group> : lists the skills in a group
help <name> : displays the help file on a given topic
done : creates your character and exits you from the editor
